The safety devices on your vehicle are there for a reason and it is extremely important to make sure they are operating effectively. Along with examining items like your window net, seat belts, etc. for expiration and wear, it is imperative that you also inspect their mounting points and hardware to ensure everything can work as designed in the event of an accident.

This video outlines the basic safety equipment to inspect and provides additional detail of items you may not initially think are important to examine. Everything from you seat belts, containment devices, parachutes, seat pads, head pads, etc… are all touched upon.

The DRA Off-Season Maintenance Series takes a detailed look at what items to inspect and address on your race car when the drag racing season comes to a close. By properly maintaining your vehicle during the off-season, you will be better prepared and able to campaign a highly competitive vehicle when racing resumes.
