Part 3 of the Off-Season Maintenance series takes a quick look at your steering system. Some of the steering components that need to be frequently inspected are steering column joints, rack and pinion, bushings, mounting points and other moving parts in the system. Be sure that everything works smoothly and is tightened properly with no missing fasteners.
