Build Series: 16 – Hood Scoop Mounting

Long gone are the days when hood scoop mounting required a hand full of pop rivets and a hack saw. Although the fundamental purpose is still the same, a hood scoop is no longer a single component. Instead, a hood scoop is now an entire system made of several elements designed for maximum efficiently and functionality.  

In addition to the scoop itself, you will need to consider the following to get the most out of your induction set up.

• Airflow Positioning –airflow in and around the hood scoop
• Positioning – for optimal driver visibility
• Clearance – for throttle linkage, solenoids and other mechanisms within proximity
• Isolator Tray – to maximize and restrict airflow to desired areas
• Hood Scoop Stand – for secure fitment and easy removal for maintenance
